About the Founder
Dr. Niyah Henson, Ed.D started Math It Up from a belief that education systems thrive when they are built with intention, integrity, and deep respect for the people who work within them. With a doctorate in education and years spent researching the intersections of instruction, leadership, organizational systems, and educator sustainability, she shaped Math It Up around the ideas that matter most to long-term improvement.
Her background spans instructional design, leadership development, and systems-level strategy—grounded in both research and lived experience across diverse educational spaces. Throughout this work, one truth has remained constant: meaningful, sustainable change doesn’t come from isolated initiatives or quick fixes. It emerges from coherent systems designed to support educators and leaders over time.
